How a med spa gets verified on GlowRanked

Listing is automatic. Screening is automatic. Verification is the tier you choose to earn — application is free, and a spa only pays after Aura approves it. There is no path to rank higher by paying. That's the whole register.

Step 01

Get listed

Aura surfaces operational California med spas through her discovery pipeline — Google business records, the California Department of Consumer Affairs, and regulatory filings. No application required.

What spa owners ask

How does a med spa get verified on GlowRanked?

Every California med spa GlowRanked surfaces is automatically placed on the register and run through Aura's screening pipeline against public sources. Spas that pass become Aura Screened — currently 706 of 3,197 California spas. To earn the top tier, Aura Verified, a spa submits an application at /for-spas with insurance documentation, medical-director credentials, and a HIPAA review-response audit. The application is free. Spas only pay if Aura approves them.

What does Aura Screened mean?

Aura Screened is the middle of three GlowRanked tiers. Aura confirms the spa is operational, holds 20+ real reviews at a 4-star or higher rating, the website matches the licensed business name, the physical address matches the medical board record, and no recent enforcement actions surface against the practice. The spa doesn't apply or pay for this — Aura runs the checks on her own cadence.

What does Aura Verified mean?

Aura Verified is the top tier. A spa qualifies after submitting private documents and passing Aura's review: a current liability insurance certificate, the medical director's California license and signed delegation agreement, a HIPAA review-response audit, and the spa's good-standing report from the California Department of Consumer Affairs. The tier is re-verified every 90 days so the badge stays accurate.

Is GlowRanked an advertising directory?

No. GlowRanked does not sell rank position. City pages and search results are ordered by the same scoring across every spa — review volume, rating, screening status, and operational signals. Aura Verified spas display a badge but do not get priority placement. A spa that pays nothing can rank above a spa that pays if the underlying signals are stronger. The register is built for patient trust first.

How much does Aura Verified cost?

Aura Verified is $1,497 per quarter, billed only after Aura approves the application. The quarterly cadence aligns with the 90-day re-verification cycle. The application itself is free. Spas that also use The Comeback (Aura's dormant-client recovery product, $2,250/month) get the badge for $997/quarter — a bundled discount of $2,000 per year.

Can a med spa pay to rank higher on GlowRanked?

No. Ranking is determined by the same scoring across every listing. Aura Verified is a trust badge, not a placement boost. Spas that pay for Verified rank exactly where their organic signals place them.

How long does verification take?

Aura Verified review typically takes 7-10 business days from the day the private documents arrive. The most common bottleneck is medical-director documentation — having the signed delegation agreement, current license, and DEA registration ready accelerates the process.

What happens if my spa doesn't pass Aura Verified?

Aura writes a remediation plan. It explains what's missing — usually a small document, an expired credential, or a HIPAA-flagged review response — and offers a free re-review within 30 days once the issue is resolved. The goal is to help more spas earn the badge, not gatekeep. A spa not yet Verified stays on the register with its existing Aura Screened status if earned.

Can a chain med spa get verified?

Yes. Each location is screened and verified independently. A chain location with stronger underlying signals can be Aura Screened or Verified while a sister location is not. The register reflects what's true of the spa, not the brand.

How does a med spa get listed on GlowRanked in the first place?

Listing is automatic. Aura surfaces California med spas through a continuous discovery pipeline — Google business listings, California Department of Consumer Affairs records, and regulatory filings — then de-duplicates and verifies they are operational. Spas don't need to apply to be listed; they only apply if they want to pursue Aura Verified.
