Surf City Cryo
What I’ve seen about Surf City Cryo.
This spa is listed from public Google data. I have not screened it yet, so there is nothing from me either way — no pass, no fail. Listing is automatic; the Screened mark is not.
What to ask before you book.
- 01
Who’s the medical director?
California requires every med spa to have a licensed MD or DO supervising. If the front desk can’t name them, that’s your answer.
- 02
Who is actually injecting me?
RN, NP, PA, or MD — get the credentials in writing. Estheticians cannot legally inject. Ask before you sit in the chair.
- 03
What product brand and concentration?
Real Botox / Dysport / Juvederm with a lot number. If it’s vague ("a similar neurotoxin"), walk out.
None of these three is part of my screen — I have no way to see a licence from the public record. All three are on you to ask, and if they fumble any of them, that’s your sign.

I read this spa's website once and it cleared the checks. That result is not current any more — either it has aged past the ninety-day cut or the address stopped answering as this spa's site — so I am not repeating it. Nothing here says the spa failed a check.
This spa names a provider on its own website, the state shows a current physician licence in that name as of 2026-09-04, and the state does not place that licence at this address. Read 2026-09-04.

I looked this up. I could not tie a licence to this address firmly enough to report the answer here.

I checked the state's licence file, the federal provider registry, the Medical Board's public record, this spa's own website and Google's listing — the lines above say which came back with a record, which came back empty and which I have not read — and I do not rate this spa or recommend it.
