“I brought my 72 year old mom with severe dementia. Other places wouldn’t see her because of her age and diagnosis, Melissa was willing and I couldn’t be more thrilled about the experience. Having dementia my mom can no longer evacuate her bowels on her own and multiple doctor/ER visits were totally useless. Mom was totally comfortable with the hydrotherapy…”

“I recently visited Melissa at My Joyful Body for a hydrocolonic cleanse, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She made me feel so at ease despite how nervous I was going into it. Before the service, Melissa explained not only the service but also the connection between gut health, emotions, and the health issues I’ve been experiencing. Her know…”

“I had an appointment with Melissa at MyJoyful Experience, and it was fantastic. From start to finish, she made me feel completely comfortable, and her expertise really shows in how she explains everything from various perspectives. Her background in homeopathic and holistic medicine was evident throughout. I also experienced a sound frequency session, which…”

Screened means the public record holds up: their identity matches, their site is real, their copy doesn’t lie.
GlowRanked Verified is a separate service, and a different question. It reads what the public record cannot see: who the medical director is, whether malpractice insurance is current, who’s actually holding the syringe, and whether the spa has written protocols for emergencies. The owner submits those documents and a person reads them. It is not part of what I checked on this page and it does not change it.
So — this is a records check, and it can be withdrawn when a record changes. It is not a judgement about the care in the room. Ask the questions below before you book.
What to ask before you book.
- 01
Who’s the medical director?
California requires every med spa to have a licensed MD or DO supervising. If the front desk can’t name them, that’s your answer.
- 02
Who is actually injecting me?
RN, NP, PA, or MD — get the credentials in writing. Estheticians cannot legally inject. Ask before you sit in the chair.
- 03
What product brand and concentration?
Real Botox / Dysport / Juvederm with a lot number. If it’s vague ("a similar neurotoxin"), walk out.
None of these three is part of my screen — I have no way to see a licence from the public record. All three are on you to ask, and if they fumble any of them, that’s your sign.

This spa cleared all three website checks: a website that holds up, details that agree, and advertising that stays legal. I report them here; since 2026-09-01 they do not decide the mark, because a spa's own website is not a public record.

I checked the state's licence file, the federal provider registry, the Medical Board's public record, this spa's own website and Google's listing — the lines above say which came back with a record, which came back empty and which I have not read — and I do not rate this spa or recommend it.

My Joyful Body is on my register. Claiming the page does not move my screen either way — it reads the public record, and only that. Claiming is free, and stays free. Claim it for your own dashboard, so the info I hold comes from you.
