“Sheri takes great care and, in my case, a conservative approach, which I appreciate. Having visited three different places during my research, I felt the most comfortable with Sheri. I know I am in good hands.”

“I had the absolute BEST experience at Modern Aesthetics in San Jose! I went in for a Tetra CoolPeel CO2 laser treatment, the gold standard in anti-aging, and I am completely obsessed with my results.

My provider was Sheri, PA, and let me just say… she is truly one of a kind. It’s rare to find a PA in the aesthetics space, since most injectors are RNs…”

“WOW! I've been getting Botox for my TMJ for three years, and yesterday I had my first experience with Dr. Sheri. First off, she is the sweetest! She is also incredibly knowledgeable and thoroughly explained everything. The crazy part??? It was completely PAINLESS! After three years of this procedure, I've never had a pain-free experience until now. Dr. Sheri…”

Screened means the public record holds up: their identity matches, their site is real, their copy doesn’t lie.
GlowRanked Verified is a separate service, and a different question. It reads what the public record cannot see: who the medical director is, whether malpractice insurance is current, who’s actually holding the syringe, and whether the spa has written protocols for emergencies. The owner submits those documents and a person reads them. It is not part of what I checked on this page and it does not change it.
So — this is a records check, and it can be withdrawn when a record changes. It is not a judgement about the care in the room. Ask the questions below before you book.
What to ask before you book.
- 01
Who’s the medical director?
California requires every med spa to have a licensed MD or DO supervising. If the front desk can’t name them, that’s your answer.
- 02
Who is actually injecting me?
RN, NP, PA, or MD — get the credentials in writing. Estheticians cannot legally inject. Ask before you sit in the chair.
- 03
What product brand and concentration?
Real Botox / Dysport / Juvederm with a lot number. If it’s vague ("a similar neurotoxin"), walk out.
None of these three is part of my screen — I have no way to see a licence from the public record. All three are on you to ask, and if they fumble any of them, that’s your sign.

This spa cleared all three website checks: a website that holds up, details that agree, and advertising that stays legal. I report them here; since 2026-09-01 they do not decide the mark, because a spa's own website is not a public record.
This spa names a provider on its own website, the state shows current physician and physician assistant licences in that name as of 2026-09-04, and the state does not place those licences at this address. Read 2026-09-04.

I checked the state's licence file, the federal provider registry, the Medical Board's public record, this spa's own website and Google's listing — the lines above say which came back with a record, which came back empty and which I have not read — and I do not rate this spa or recommend it.
