“I had the privilege of getting to experience The Everything Facial with Marija today. It was my first time at Monastery and having had a wide range of facials in my life, I can honestly say that this experience was life changing and I’ve never seen my face so bright, clear and healthy. I came in a different person and left replenished. Best facial of my life…”

“I’ve been seeing Cat for The Sculpting Buccal Facial for almost a year now. Not only have I noticed a difference in my skin and face, but it’s also turned into an important part of my wellness ritual. I tend to hold a lot of tension in my shoulders and jaw, and these sessions have helped me release that stress in such a calming, restorative way.”

“My experience here is always MAGICAL to say the least. It’s why I keep coming back. Today I tried something new the dermaplaning facial and it transported me into the most zen, peaceful, multi sensory experience. Cat was perfect. Her aura, her hands… everything. Truly 10/10. I’m leaving so happy, my nervous system feels regulated, and I’m already looking for…”

“I absolutely love this place! I see Cheri and get the Gua Sha facial. She takes such great care of me. My skin is glowing every time. The spa is also beautiful, smells amazing and super clean. So lucky to have this place just few blocks away from me.”

“Can't say enough good things about my eyebrow shaping appointment with Cat! She is warm, professional and thorough in her consultation, and her work reflected everything I'd asked for and far exceeded my expectations. By far the best brow shape I've ever had (and I can be quite picky)! She was also generous sharing her knowledge, answering my many questions…”

Screened means the public record holds up: their identity matches, their site is real, their copy doesn’t lie.
GlowRanked Verified is a separate service, and a different question. It reads what the public record cannot see: who the medical director is, whether malpractice insurance is current, who’s actually holding the syringe, and whether the spa has written protocols for emergencies. The owner submits those documents and a person reads them. It is not part of what I checked on this page and it does not change it.
So — this is a records check, and it can be withdrawn when a record changes. It is not a judgement about the care in the room. Ask the questions below before you book.
What to ask before you book.
- 01
Who’s the medical director?
California requires every med spa to have a licensed MD or DO supervising. If the front desk can’t name them, that’s your answer.
- 02
Who is actually injecting me?
RN, NP, PA, or MD — get the credentials in writing. Estheticians cannot legally inject. Ask before you sit in the chair.
- 03
What product brand and concentration?
Real Botox / Dysport / Juvederm with a lot number. If it’s vague ("a similar neurotoxin"), walk out.
None of these three is part of my screen — I have no way to see a licence from the public record. All three are on you to ask, and if they fumble any of them, that’s your sign.

This spa cleared all three website checks: a website that holds up, details that agree, and advertising that stays legal. I report them here; since 2026-09-01 they do not decide the mark, because a spa's own website is not a public record.

I checked the state's licence file, the federal provider registry, the Medical Board's public record, this spa's own website and Google's listing — the lines above say which came back with a record, which came back empty and which I have not read — and I do not rate this spa or recommend it.
